Greatest T20 World Cup Ever

The Most Entertaining and Competitive T20 World Cup ever.

Previously the ICC T20 WC has been played for 7 times. This year it is the 8th edition of the mega event and it has been the most outstanding one among all editions. It is not the case that other were not that exciting but this year particularly we have witnessed some different brand of cricket.

Nail biters, Thrillers, Last ball finish, Upsets, Rain Washouts all are making this WC special among all the WCs. These are the common elements of this kind of tournament, but the fact that- Almost 80-85% game in the league stage have been completed, still not a single team has made it to semi-finals.

And we have no clear idea about which teams are going into the knockout stages till now. Yes some teams like New Zealand, England and Australia in group-1 & India, South Africa in group-2 are looking contenders for those spots, but we have already seen some big upsets and rain playing a huge role in this edition.

In this situation any result can be possible. There are total 6 games, 3 in each group are remaining and all the games are like knockout games and every team are depending on results of each other. The NRR is going to be the real factor in this tournament particularly in group-1, where top 3 teams can finish at 7 points each.

While in group-2 India and South Africa are certain to finish in top 2 as they have to play Zimbabwe and Netherlands respectively, but the margin between these top teams and middling Pakistan & Bangladesh are not very huge so, an upset or a washout could make one of the below team moving to top 2.

Two teams Afghanistan & Netherlands are already out of this WC, whereas two teams Ireland and Zimbabwe are very low but outside chances on their respective groups. So now, most probably these teams will play for their pride and make something out of the game for their fans and country.

But mainly this tournament is now between 8 teams, New Zealand, England, Australia & Sri Lanka in group-1 and India, South Africa, Pakistan & Bangladesh in group-2. Hence those associate teams who are already out of the tournament and on weaker side they will now decide which team will progress from these 8 teams.

With just 3 days and 6 games remaining in the league stage, this weekend is going to be absolute cracker and blockbuster. Rain has spoiled some games and excitement here in past days but we are expecting it will stay away in upcoming games and we can watch this WC ending in a wonderful note.
