  New Year, New Approach in Indian Cricket   2022 has gone, we have entered into 2023. As we can see, previous year hasn’t been a year to remember for us. We failed in all big instances for example- WT20, Asia Cup, South Africa and England Tests. Leading up to another year the BCCI has taken some tough calls, perhaps preparing a  overwhelm change in team set up. Big names from the team are missed out from the T20 squad and strict approach in ODIs have been also taken for next home series against Sri Lanka.   Another WTC Final on the cards for India   Team India might play two back to back WTC finals in two cycles. Currently we are the 2 nd position in the points table of WTC and the last series is at home that’s make our case even more-stronger. There are two other contenders along with us, Australia and South Africa. Our last series will be against Australia in February-March, which is termed as Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT).   We are currently placed at no.2 with Australia above us and South Africa behind.   2022 for Indian Cricket   2022 started with a horrible note for team India and as they were unable to win series in South Africa, in possibly best ever chances in tests and also got whitewashed by the home side in ODIs. But apart from that test series loss, bigger news came that Virat Kohli has stepped down as India’s Test Captain. This was a bit shocker as no one has ever anticipated such thing to come.   But eventually that happened after 3 rd test match. In just 5 to 6 month’s span everything changes in Indian team regarding leadership roles.
