Mini Auction for IPL 2023 is on 23rd December



 

The biggest and richest franchise based cricketing league IPL is going to enter into its 16th edition. The 2023 IPL is might starts from 1st week of April after the inaugural edition of Women’s IPL. But before that a small mini auction is going to be happen on 23rd of December in Kochi. November 15 was the deadline for all the 10 franchises to submit their final list of retained players. Which they did perfectly.

 

A total of 163 players have been retained by 10 teams including 50 overseas players. Assuming a squad strength of 25 and out of which 8 are overseas slots, a total of 87 players are still to be bought at the auction from which 30 can be overseas.

 

Here it is a small detail regarding all the team’s squad strength, slot left, overseas slot left and remaining purse for mini-auction:-

November 30 was the last date for all the players to register their names for the auction. A total number of 991 players from different countries including our India have given their names in the list. Let us first breakdown the list-

All the 10 franchises will decide the finals list of players and submit to BCCI, and those list of players will go under the hammer on 23rd December.

Latest Development:-

Now, finally the total list of players have been submitted to the BCCI by all the franchises. The number is 405, out of which 273 are Indian Players and 132 are overseas players.

The Auction is scheduled on 23rd December in Kochi and the coverage will starts from 2.30 PM.
