The biggest positive, which is going to happen in this season of IPL is, Tata IPL 2023 is heading back to its original formula of home and away format after 3 years since 2019. 2020 Season was entirely played in UAE due to Covid-19, while 2021 Season happened in two parts. First few games played in some specific grounds in India before Covid-19 out-break in some teams.

Later it was moved to UAE again for remaining matches. And the 2022 Season happened in India, but again in some specific grounds. Entire league stage in 4 grounds of Maharashtra, Wankhede, DY Patil, CCI Brabourne and MCA Pune. The Playoffs happened in Kolkata & Ahmedabad.

But this time around the league has back to its usual and normal form. Fans will be able to see their respective franchise at their own home grounds, which will make it more special and entertaining. A team will play 14 games in total, 7 Home and 7 Away games in the league stage. And for which 12 venues are shortlisted.

Let’s see all the Venues and to whom it is assigned-

Team Details and Full Schedule:-

If we see, most of the times IPL has been played with 8 teams. But during 2011-12, we saw 9 or 10 team IPL. And now, finally from previous season it has become a 10 team tournament. With two new franchise Gujarat Titans & Lucknow Super Giants, it has become bigger and better.

So, coming to Tata IPL 2023, these 10 teams are divided into two groups just like last year, 5 in each one. But the playing rule has been changed. Last time it was- A team will play 8 games in same group, i.e. twice with the remaining 4 teams and 6 games with the opposite group teams, i.e. twice with one team, while once with remaining 4.

But it was very confusing and bit complex. So, this time around the rule has been made simple and easily understandable. Although same method will work but, here the concept is- A team will play 10 games with opposite group teams, i.e. twice with each one and just 4 games in same group, i.e. once to each remaining 4 teams.

Let’s look at the groups:-
